Maya Vatti Of India Began Her Political Career From Joining Bahujin Samaj Wadi Party

  Kanshi Ram ((1934-2006) was a social worker basically. He devoted his whole life for the betterment of the untouchables. He became practical politician when he constituted "Bahujin Samaj Vadi Party" in 1984. Till then Maya vatti had made her dignified place in her constituency She was an important leader of the party. Therefore, in the by-election of 1985, her party gave her ticket to contest the national assembly election from Bijnore. Her opponents included an untouchable's leader Ram Velas and Mera,the daughter of former vice prime minister Jag Jeevan Ram. During those days Rajeev Ghandhi's party was too popular so Mera won the seat. But, Maya and her party was not discouraged. The leaders of BSP continued organizing the party during next five years not only in Up but in Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi and Haryana. They solved many problems of low caste families and got their party popular in untouchables. On other side the poluarity graph of Congress was falling who used too get majority of the votes from low caste people. The BSP was polpular because many leaders of Hindus, Muslims,Sikhs and Budhis joined it.  In the Eastern UP the responsibility of organizing the party was on the shoulders of the lecturer of Ali Garh University, Dr Mashud Ahmad, and he made the party polular in his province. The leaders efforts  were fruitful when during 1989 elections, BSP won 2 seats in national assembly and in UP assembly got 13 seats.<Maya vatti defeated her oppenent and reached to Lok Sabha (NA).
