Constitution Of Grand Opposition Alliance By PML(N)

   After the decision of separation of MQM from the coalition government of PPP,  Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has announced to form a  Grand Opposition Alliance. He has invited all the political parties including MQM to join Alliance, unconditionally.  The reconciliation process has been started between the the leaders of PML (N) and the MQM. The cheif of Jamiat Ulema e Islam, Maulana Fazal Rahman is in London and Mian Nawaz Sharif is to reach there. Some experts say that new alliance may come into being in London to oust out the PPP government from power. But, it seems that Jamaat e Islami and MQM are not ready at present to join the alliance. Some analysts say that attempts will be made to deprive PPP of power before the next senate elections so that PPP may not get majority in the upper house.
   Alliances have been constituted in the country's history in the past too, against the governments in power..  During the 70's, Pakistan National Alliance (PNA) comprising of 9 political parties was formed against the government of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.  This alliance included, Air Marshall (R) Asghar Khan of Tehreek e Isteqlal, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan of Pakistan Democratic Party, Prof Ghafoor Ahmad of Jamaat e Islami, Mufti Mahmood of Jamiat e Ulema e Islam, Shah Ahmad Nourani of Jamaat e Ulema e Pakistan, Sardar Sher Baz Mazari of National Democratic Party, Begum Nasim Wali Khan of Awami National Party and Pir Pagara of Muslim League. PNA had participated in election with the sole purpose of ending the PPP government and implementation of Islamic laws in the country. Campaign was initiated against the rigging of  poles. It is said that USA and army was backing the alliance. However, on the night of July 05, army cheif took over and Bhutto was arrested and afterwards hanged.
   Another alliance was made called Movement for Restoration Of Democracy (MRD).This MRD has historical struggle in 1983 for the restoration of 1973 constitution..Jamaat e Islami and Pir Pagara were not the part of the alliance so it was not favored by USA and the army.
    So, history of Pakistan shows that after every 2-3 years government in power is not tolerated and attempts are made to kick it out from the power . However, there is a vast justification for forming an alliance now.  Nawaz Sharif is specially annoyed because of defeat in Kashmir elections that he blames the PPP to have engineered results. Some accusations may be true as casted votes were more in number than the registered votes on some polling stations. The name of Chief Election Commissioner had been registered in three constituencies. Though he casted vote in one, but other 2 ballet papers were issued to some fake voter.
