Nawaz Sharif Said Zardari Promoted Culture Of Corruption

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Monday came down hard on President Asif Ali Zardari for what he called promoting the culture of corruption in the country.
Addressing a massive public gathering arranged in connection with the election campaign for the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly here in the NA-7 constituency in support of the PML-N candidate Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Nawaz Sharif said the PML-N would not allow anyone to promote the politics of flattery in Azad Kashmir.
The PML-N chief lamented that the public money has been looted with both hands and the new corruption scandals of billions of rupees are emerging every day.
He said Azad Kashmir is not a property of President Zardari or Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani but it belongs to the 180 million people of Pakistan and five million population of Azad Kashmir. He said no one would be allowed to make fun of the public sentiments. Nawaz said the PML-N will make sure that the people of AJK get their due rights.
Nawaz said the president and the prime minister were deceiving the nation and ignoring the problems of the common man. He said gas has been provided to big factories but the same is denied to common households.
He said three years ago he had no complaint against the government because at that time President Zardari had started the political reconciliation and had pledged that the destiny of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir would be changed through neat and clean politics and no institution would be allowed to exceed from its limits or violate the constitution. However, he said, these pledges did not materialise.
