Maya Vatti Nina Kumhari ( Now the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, India), took birth on January 15, 1956 in delhi.Her father Pabho Diyal was a clerk in telecommunication department. She belonged to cobbler caste of untouchables. Her father was a mean and low mentality person who tortured his wife, so she was closed to her grand father, Mangal San. Her father wanted to marry second time when her mother gave birth to 3 baby girls, but her grand father did not allow. When her mother gave birth to 6 sons consecutively, her father father attention was diverted to his sons and ignored the daughters. These were the circumstances in which Matya Vatti passed her childhood. His father admitted his sons in standard schools while she was admitted in a government school where ther was no quality education. Still maya Vatti had a nice educational career. She got Ba degree from local college and wanted to be an advocate. When she was in first year of LLB she started preparing for Indian Civil Service Examination to become an ICS officer to serve her community. But, during one cold night of December 1977, she was studying for the exam that Kanshi Ram, a popular leader of Indian Untouchables came to her house. At that night, an hour discussion on politics,social problems, history and conditions of untouchables in India, deprivation of their rights and atrocities that Brahmans carried out on untouchables with Kanshi Ram who convinced her to be a politician and can serve for her community in a better way than being a deputy collector. He also said that I will make you a great leader that 101 deputy collectors will be around you holding files ion their hands. The one hour discussion changed her life and brough a revolution in her thinking. Though her father interrupted several times but she got determined to take part in politics. Kanshi Ram was true to his words and at last the untouchable girl became the chief minister of India's biggest province. Her father asked her to join some national political party if she wants to be politician but refuse to Kanshi Ram. But Kanshi Ram had judge her potentials that this 22 year girl has the capabilities to astonish the world with her guts. When she did not agree to her father's suggestion , he asked her to leave home. She immediately put her clothes in a bag and left her father's home and came to Kanshi Ram's office and requested for stay in the office. He permitted her and she remain there for somne time and then shifted to a rented room.
